Miami Takeover Comes Back to Miami Beach with an Energetic Festival Honoring Black Culture and Music

Miami Takeover (MTO) is set to electrify Miami Beach this summer from July 25 to 28, 2025. This dynamic three-day event honors Black culture, art, community, and the iconic Go-Go music scene. Organized in partnership with the Greater Miami Conventions and Visitors Bureau (GMCVB) and recognized as an official event of the Art of Black Miami Beach series by the Miami Beach Visitors and Convention Authority (MBVCA), MTO promises an unforgettable experience for locals and visitors alike.

The event blends cultural celebration with community engagement, music, art, and networking opportunities across multiple venues in Miami Beach. With a packed schedule of performances, parties, and service activities, Miami Takeover offers something for every attendee to enjoy.

Official Miami Takeover Event Schedule

Friday July 25

The weekend kicks off with the Colgate Bright Smiles, Bright Futures Community Service event from 9 AM to 11 AM. This philanthropic effort collaborates with the Miami Beach Police Athletic League, Inc. to provide dental screenings and cleanings for 100 children under 12 years old. This marks the fourth year of this impactful community outreach.From 2 PM to 7 PM, the Miami Meet & Greet Splashdown takes place at the stylish Z Ocean Hotel, located at 1437 Collins Drive. Guests can enjoy happy hour specials on food and drinks, lively music, interactive games, art exhibits, and networking opportunities. This social event offers the perfect atmosphere to connect and unwind.

As night falls, Miami Nights in White delivers an unforgettable all-white party at The Urban, 1000 NW 2nd Avenue. Running from 9 PM to 2 AM, this event features VIP sections, interactive board games, and a lively dance floor. Attendees can enjoy exclusive HBCU-inspired happy hour drink specials and food trucks, adding a unique flavor to the evening.

Saturday July 26

The evening of Saturday features the centerpiece event, the Art of Go-Go Culture Fest, held at the Miami Beach Bandshell on 7275 Collins Avenue. From 5 PM to 10 PM, guests will experience exhilarating live performances from top acts including the Junkyard Band, Marcus Blake, Top5, Rod Royal, Demont Pinder, and the Black Passion Band. This event celebrates the legacy and vibrant energy of Go-Go music, a genre deeply rooted in Black culture.

After the festival, the evening moves to Club M2 at 1235 Washington Avenue for Can We Talk an all-black themed R&B party. From 10 PM to 4 AM, guests are encouraged to dress in sleek all-black outfits and enjoy a curated mix of classic and contemporary R&B sounds. This party is hosted in collaboration with No Sleep South Beach and guarantees a stylish, intimate vibe for music lovers.

Sunday July 27

Miami Takeover wraps up its weekend with activities focused on community involvement and relaxation on Sunday. Between 10:30 AM and 12 PM, attendees are encouraged to join the Community Service Beach Sweep, a volunteer effort to clean and protect the scenic shores of Miami Beach. Participants will gather at the Marseilles Hotel, located at 1741 Collins Avenue, highlighting a commitment to environmental stewardship and local engagement. Online RSVP is required to take part.

Later in the day, from 3 PM to 9 PM, The Backyard Pool Club at the Marseilles Beachfront Hotel hosts the Splash Daytime Pool Party. This laid-back yet lively gathering offers a perfect way to cool down and celebrate with friends while enjoying great music and refreshments by the pool.
