Singapore shines in an exclusive episode of Netflix’s newest installment of Formula 1 Drive to Survive, providing rare behind-the-scenes insights captured by five prominent drivers during an action-packed 72-hour window. For the first time, audiences can witness the Singapore Grand Prix directly through the eyes of racing stars Alex Albon, Charles Leclerc, George Russell, Lando Norris, and Pierre Gasly, as they master the challenges of the Marina Bay Street Circuit.
Titled “In the Heat of the Night,” the seventh episode of Formula 1 Drive to Survive Season 7 debuts globally on Netflix on 7 March, alongside the season’s full release. The acclaimed documentary series is brought to life by Box to Box Films, a production company renowned for creating premium feature-length documentaries.
Viewers will be immersed in the intensity of Singapore’s famous night race, experiencing first-hand the demanding preparations, intense racing moments, and raw emotions at the finish line, all framed by the spectacular cityscape of Singapore.

Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc remarked in the episode, “Singapore is among my favourite circuits on the calendar. The thrill of racing on a street circuit is unmatched. It’s the kind of challenge I really enjoy.” The Marina Bay Street Circuit, famously known for hosting Formula 1’s inaugural night race in 2008, showcases Singapore’s dedication to innovating and enhancing major international sporting events.

The episode was filmed during the September 2024 Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix, created in collaboration between Netflix, Box to Box Films, and the Singapore Tourism Board.
