Riu Plaza Guadalajara, the tallest hotel in the city, has introduced an exceptional new experience: the 360° Rooftop Bar located on the 41st floor of the iconic skyscraper. This new addition, unveiled on 6 March 2025, has already captured the attention of both locals and tourists, promising to become a prominent social hotspot in Guadalajara.
A Breathtaking View and Unmatched Experience
Situated near the Matute Remus Bridge, the Riu Plaza Guadalajara has long been a landmark in the city, having opened its doors in 2011 as RIU’s first city hotel in Mexico. Now, it offers visitors an elevated experience with its 360° Rooftop Bar, featuring panoramic views of Guadalajara and its stunning surroundings. The bar’s glass balcony, which extends 215 meters above the ground, offers a daring experience for those seeking a thrilling perspective of the city.
With a seating capacity of 370 people, the 360° Rooftop Bar is designed to be a dynamic space for guests to socialize, relax, and take in the beautiful vistas. Its sophisticated ambiance makes it an ideal location for events, social gatherings, or an evening out with friends.
Gastronomic Delights and Signature Cocktails
In addition to its breathtaking views, the 360° Rooftop Bar offers a delightful culinary experience, blending Mexican and Spanish flavors. The menu features a variety of starters and main courses, including aguachile, barbecue tacos, and ham croquettes, offering guests a taste of authentic cuisine. For drinks, the bar serves classic cocktails as well as creative concoctions, and a selection of carefully curated wines to complement the menu.
Events and Entertainment
The 360° Rooftop Bar is also committed to providing lively entertainment to its visitors. The bar hosts DJ music on Thursday and Saturday evenings, creating an energetic vibe, while traditional mariachi music from a female mariachi band fills the space every Friday evening, giving guests a taste of local culture in a vibrant setting.
Inauguration and Future Plans
The official opening of the 360° Rooftop Bar took place in a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by city and state authorities, business partners, media representatives, and senior members of the RIU management team. Daniele Camponovo, Director of Operations for RIU in the Mexican Pacific, and David Mendoza Martínez, General Coordinator of Economic Development for Guadalajara, cut the ribbon to mark the occasion. The event underscored the hotel’s growing presence in the region and the commitment to providing unparalleled experiences for its guests.
During the ceremony, Camponovo also revealed plans for the refurbishment of certain areas of the Riu Plaza Guadalajara in 2026, further enhancing the hotel’s offerings.
