Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL), the next generation leader in global cruise travel, today unveiled the cruise industrys most desirable travel experiences in 2027 with the deployment of its Spring/Summer 2027 collection, featuring nearly 500 itineraries across 20 ships, visiting over 150 distinct ports in 59 countries. With the peak holiday season around the corner, NCL is now allowing passengers to start planning the trip of a lifetime with a huge variety of cruises available between April and October 2027.
Sailing from nearly 30 of the world’s most desired homeports, including Rome (Civitavecchia), Southampton, Helsinki, Istanbul, Copenhagen, and Reykjavik, the extensive season will offer guests the chance to experience a blend of longer port visits, overnight calls and opportunities for extended exploration in some of the world’s most iconic destinations.
Explore Europe with More Seven-Day Voyages and Overnight Stays
Eight ships will be sailing in Europe in 2027, as it will feature a wide range of seven-day itineraries that will sail round-trip from convenient embarkation ports such as Barcelona, Rome (Civitavecchia), Athens (Piraeus) and Reykjavik. These port-rich sailings have guests in port upwards of 90%, rubbing elbows for an average 11 hours per port.
NCL’s voyages will have overnight calls in top cities including Istanbul, Copenhagen and Hamburg, and late-night port visits in places like Santorini, Dubrovnik, and Ibiza. On our European fleet, Norwegian Prima and Norwegian Viva will also be redeployed back to the Mediterranean, offering itineraries to the Western Mediterranean and Greek Isles. Norwegian Prima will also feature new itineraries to Northern Europe, such as open-jaw itineraries between Southampton and Reykjavik and a maiden call in Riga on three Baltic cruises.
Norwegian Sun Norwegian Sun joins Norwegian Getaway on seven-day cruises to the Greek Isles departing from Venice and Rome and the Holy Land (Haifa and Ashdod).Norwegian Sun will also explore the Eastern Mediterranean on an eight-to-24-day journey departing from Venice, when the nine-day Adriatic, Greece & Turkey and 10- and 11-day Greek Isles and Italy cruises give a more in-depth European experience. Also sailing the Mediterranean, Norwegian Jewel will make her European debut after a decade with seven- and nine-day Scandinavian cruises between Copenhagen and Helsinki.
Alaska’s Natural Beauty Awaits: A Perfect “Coolcation”
As “coolcations” continue to gain popularity, Alaska remains a top destination for NCL’s 2023 season. NCL’s Alaska cruises will run between April to September, with Norwegian Encore, Norwegian Bliss, Norwegian Joy and Norwegian Jade; each purpose-built for spectacular outdoor viewing.
The cruises will leave from Seattle’s Pier 66 on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, with seven-day sailings offered. Norwegian Joy will also have 9- or 10-day voyages extending from mid-May to June, and late August to September. Also, there will be seven-day open-jaw itineraries sailing between Vancouver and Whittier with scenic cruising of Hubbard Glacier or Glacier Bay on Norwegian Jade. Scenic Cruisetours will be offered for those looking to extend their adventure by exploring Denali National Park, taking the Alaska Railroad, or fishing in Kachemak Bay.
Extended South Pacific Season with Norwegian Spirit
After her deployment in Australia and New Zealand, Norwegian Spirit will sail in the South Pacific through December 2027, wintering in Sydney, and summering in Lautoka. In addition to Sydney and Lautoka, weekly trips to Papeete and Honolulu will be available. Norwegian Spirit will offer 11- to 13-day itineraries to such exotic destinations as New Caledonia, Fiji, Samoa, French Polynesia, and the Cook Islands. As a result, Norwegian Spirit customers have the opportunity to enjoy a combination of relaxation and discovery.
Caribbean, Bahamas & Bermuda: Short Escapes and Island Adventures
The Caribbean, the Bahamas and Bermuda shine brightly in NCL’s offering for the Spring/Summer 2027 programme. These cruises will depart from various ports in Florida on routes of three to 11 days, and most will include ports of call at NCL’s private island experience destinations: Great Stirrup Cay in the Bahamas and Harvest Caye in Belize.
In late 2025, Great Stirrup Cay will receive major upgrades including a multi-ship pier, heated pool and adults-only retreat with a private cabana. Bermuda is also a focus for the line in 2027, with sailings from Philadelphia, New York City and Boston onboard Norwegian Breakaway, Norwegian Pearl and newbuild Norwegian Luna plus overnight stops in the Royal Naval Dockyard.
Though Official Friends of Pearl SeasThe Norwegian Breakaway and Norwegian Pearl are also offering cruises to Canada & New England with stops in Charlottetown and Quebec City, great for fall foliage cruises, seafood feasts, and wine tastings.

NCL’s 2027 itinerary reflects a wide variety of worldwide locales, such as Mediterranean, Alaska, South Pacific, Caribbean, Bahamas, Bermuda and Canada & New Englan. The deployment offers a wide range of itineraries to meet the needs of every type of traveller, with options such as immersive exploration of some of Europe’s most beautiful cities, island hopping in some of the South Pacific’s most stunning isles, and witnessing the splendour of Alaska’s natural wonders.
