BENGALURU: On Thursday evening, an Indigo Airlines flight was forced to make a dramatic diversion from Chennai to Bengaluru after experiencing a fuel shortage and an unsuccessful attempt to land at Chennai Airport. The flight, with 168 passengers on board, declared a Mayday when the fuel levels became dangerously low, necessitating an emergency diversion to Bengaluru.
Indigo Flight 6E-6764 was initially set to arrive at Chennai International Airport at 7:45 pm. However, the aircraft was unable to land on time due to significant air traffic congestion at the airport.
