AsiaWorld-Expo (AWE) continues to strengthen its reputation as one of Asia’s top venues for world-class exhibitions and events. Guided by its mission to “Explore All in AWE,” the venue offers an exciting variety of EXPOtainment experiences crafted to engage audiences from Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area. Recently, AWE hosted the much-anticipated Hong Kong debut of Korean girl group BABYMONSTER, whose electrifying performance thrilled fans and set a lively tone for a vibrant summer ahead. From June through September, AWE will present 60 diverse events covering music, sports, technology, and education, taking advantage of its prime location near Hong Kong International Airport and the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge. This accessibility attracts visitors from mainland China and overseas, contributing significantly to the growth of Hong Kong’s tourism, hospitality, retail, and dining sectors.

AWE’s summer music lineup features an impressive 35 concerts showcasing top artists from Asia and the West, with some nights even offering multiple simultaneous performances. This rich schedule promises something for every music lover, from devoted fans to trendsetters eager to explore a variety of genres.

June marks the return of Japanese pop icon Ayumi Hamasaki, who performs her first solo concert in Hong Kong at AWE since 2008. Her enduring connection with the venue and timeless appeal guarantee a memorable evening. July heats up with the “McDonald’s Hong Kong 50th Anniversary I’m Lovin’ It Music Concert,” a star-studded celebration featuring leading artists like Eason Chan, Nicholas Tse, Joey Yung, Hins Cheung, Softhard, and MIRROR.

In August, the city will be captivated by BIGBANG’s G-Dragon, who concludes the first leg of his highly anticipated “Übermensch World Tour” with a spectacular Hong Kong performance. Other notable acts include Korean stars Taeyeon, LE SSERAFIM, STAYC, RIIZE, and &TEAM; Japanese-Korean group NiziU; British electronic duo HONNE; Chinese performers WeiBird and Zhang Bichen; and homegrown talents such as Juno Mak and MIRROR members Alton, Anson Kong, Frankie, Lokman, along with Jeremy Lee. This diverse lineup brings together the vibrant energy of Hong Kong, the dynamic Korean wave, Japanese artistry, and British sophistication, offering fans a global music experience right at their doorstep.

Beyond music, AsiaWorld-Expo stands as a hub for sports, innovation, and youth development. Building on the success of last year’s Hong Kong Fitness & Wellness Expo, which attracted 28,000 visitors, this popular event returns on July 26 and 27, featuring HYROX—the world’s largest indoor fitness competition. The event inspires fitness enthusiasts and promotes healthy living throughout the city.

Technology and creativity are spotlighted through the FIRST® LEGO® League, where young participants showcase their STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) skills. At the same time, fencing competitions like the BOC Youth Development Programme All Primary School Fencing Competition and the Junior Open Fencing Championships highlight promising young athletes pursuing sporting excellence.

Car lovers and football fans also have reasons to celebrate this summer at AWE. The inaugural International Automotive & Supply Chain Expo (Hong Kong), held from June 12 to 15, displays the latest innovations from top global car manufacturers including FAW Group, Hongqi, GAC Group, Geely Auto, BYD Auto, Chery Auto, SAIC Motor, Dongfeng Motor, and CHANGAN Automobile. A special Low-altitude Economy Zone will feature pioneering aerospace brands like XPeng Motor, Geely Auto, and GOVY, showcasing electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) technologies. Visitors can experience interactive virtual reality zones offering eVTOL test drives and flights, providing a glimpse into the future of urban mobility.

September brings the first-ever World Football Summit (WFS) in Hong Kong, a landmark event expected to draw over 10,000 attendees and 100-plus exhibitors. The summit gathers key decision-makers from the global football community, including club presidents, sports brand executives, players, coaches, and technology innovators. This platform offers unparalleled networking opportunities and strategic business development within the fast-growing football industry.

AsiaWorld-Expo’s broad range of public exhibitions continues to attract families and visitors from the Greater Bay Area, especially via key transport links such as the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge and Tuen Mun-Chek Lap Kok Link. These exhibitions combine cultural enrichment with economic growth and provide enjoyable outings for people of all ages.

The annual Hong Kong Brands & Products Shopping Festival brings together shopping, food, and entertainment to encourage local spending and foster community spirit. Building on its past successes, this four-day event expects to welcome more than 60,000 visitors and generate approximately HK$60 million in sales.

Art China Hong Kong celebrates China’s rich intangible cultural heritage and traditional arts, offering visitors a window into the country’s cultural treasures.
