Frontier Airlines today announced 15 new non-stop routes and the resumption of three routes along with a fare sale as it continues to expand its network for America’s cost-conscious consumers. Beginning this fall, the Denver-based ultra-low-cost carrier will add service from three new — or returning — cities: Richmond, Virginia; Corpus Christi, Texas; and Tulsa, Oklahoma. The expansion is just an overall effort by Frontier to reach more destinations and connect the rest of the country, especially through major markets like Texas, New York, Chicago, and Missouri – and its Denver International Airport (DEN) hub.
New Travel Opportunities Across the U.S.
The service to two new cities, Richmond International Airport (RIC) in Virginia and Corpus Christi International Airport (CRP) in Texas, will begin on Wednesday, October 21, 2020. The carrier also re-enters Tulsa, Oklahoma, for the first time in three years. This expansion demonstrates Frontier’s commitment to building its network in cities that don’t have easy access to budget flights, providing more cost-friendly choices for those who want to fly to and from these cities.
Josh Flyr, Frontier Vice President of Network and Operations Design, expressed his enthusiasm for the growth: “With new destinations in Texas and Virginia, our return to Tulsa, Oklahoma, and new connections between some of our top cities, there’s never been a better time for flyers to give Frontier a try.” His statement is in line with the airline’s mission of bringing air travel to America and making flying better and more affordable for everyone in the country.

Of the new routes introduced, Denver will have the most with four. This also further solidifies Frontier’s presence in its home state, which helps all of our front range customers by continuing to give them the lowest fares to fly to new and existing destinations.
Increased Connectivity and Budget-Friendly Travel
The expanded network is a crucial piece of Frontier’s plan to grow its presence in the United States, particularly in important regional markets. Through its enhanced schedule of non-stops to places such as Richmond, Corpus Christi, and Tulsa, the airline said it is addressing increased demand and ensuring that consumers will have access to affordable travel alternatives. Frontier’s low fares can also attract lower-yield leisure travelers, making flying more affordable for families, business travelers, and those on vacation.
Frontier’s new routes could help passengers seeking less expensive ways to connect through major hubs. For instance, the JFK to O’Hare route will enable greater connectivity between two major urban areas in the United States, opening up new travel possibilities for business and leisure travelers visiting the two regions. The routes to and from Phoenix and San Antonio also provide great access for people in the southwest of the United States.
An Adventurous Future for Frontier Airlines
It’s an exciting time at Frontier Airlines as they expand and launch these 15 new routes in the tight airline marketplace. Through greater point-to-point growth in major cities, such as Texas, New York, and the Midwest, Frontier is building out its network and becoming a bigger player in the world of cheap air travel. And this expansion also comes at a critical time because air travel demand is growing in a very consistent direction, and the cost-conscious traveler is hunting for the cheaper fare clocks and saving hundreds on travel.
With the addition of these new routes this fall, travelers seeking affordable and convenient options to new adventures in the sun will find non-stop service to new destinations across the country. The airline continues to make domestic travel more affordable and accessible, and prospective routes will mean a fresh influx of travelers to the airline.
