British Tourists Urged to Watch for New Vaping Rules Across Europe This Summer
As the summer holiday season gets closer, travelers from the United Kingdom are being strongly advised to stay alert to newly introduced vaping laws across multiple European countries. These tighter regulations, especially on beaches and in areas frequented by children, are designed to protect public health and the environment. France: Major Outdoor Smoking Crackdown Begins July 1
Starting July 1, 2025, France will roll out a strict ban on smoking in all outdoor public areas where children might be present. This includes beaches, parks, public gardens, bus stops, and sports facilities. Portugal has also moved to regulate vaping on its beaches, although the extent and enforcement of these rules can vary significantly between different regions. Because of this, tourists are encouraged to check local laws before using e-cigarettes in public, especially along the coast.
