Emirates strengthens its partnership with Trip.com to expand global travel opportunities, focusing on emerging markets, promotions, and customer segments.
Emirates has announced the extension of its successful partnership with Trip.com, building on their longstanding collaboration.
The renewed agreement was officially signed at ITB Berlin, with Nabil Sultan, Executive Vice President of Passenger Sales & Country Management at Emirates, and CT Ooi, VP of Flights Business at Trip.com Group, present for the occasion.
As part of this expanded alliance, both companies will focus on seizing emerging opportunities in new markets and customer segments. The partnership aims to leverage Emirates’ extensive global network and Trip.com’s international presence to strengthen their reach, particularly in key Asian and European markets.
A key area of collaboration will involve the integration of Emirates’ flight offerings with Trip.com’s growing portfolio of hotels and travel services. This integration will aim to boost customer conversion while enhancing the overall customer experience. The two companies will also launch exclusive promotions targeting families and holidaymakers, designed to attract more travelers to their platforms.
In addition, the partnership will feature joint campaigns and loyalty program synergies. Emirates and Trip.com will work together on promotional efforts to drive growth in important global markets. They will also explore incorporating value-added services into both Trip.com Rewards and Emirates Skywards programs, offering customized benefits to their loyal customer bases.
Focused initiatives will include campaigns aimed at specific traveler segments, such as students, young travelers, and cruise customers. Emirates will also offer its premium Chauffeur Drive service on the Trip.com platform, targeting Trip.com’s high-value customer base.
The collaboration between Emirates and Trip.com began in 2020, with a focus on expanding the airline’s reach in China and throughout Asia. Initial efforts included joint marketing and promotional initiatives aimed at boosting Emirates’ sales through Trip.com’s platforms, offering a tailored booking experience.
This expanded partnership aligns with Emirates’ ongoing efforts to enhance its presence in Asia. The airline plans to launch new direct flights, including daily services from Dubai to Shenzhen, China, four weekly flights to Da Nang, Vietnam, and three weekly flights to Siem Reap, Cambodia. With the largest network of any non-Asian carrier, Emirates flies to 24 destinations across East Asia.
