On Saturday night, the Pavilion in Rodney Bay witnessed a spectacular celebration as Emerle Tisson, 23, was crowned the 2025 National Carnival Queen. Representing Choiseul and studying hospitality and tourism, Tisson gave an exceptional performance throughout the competition, securing her the prestigious title and multiple accolades. Her consistent and impressive performances made her the standout contestant of the night, capturing the attention and admiration of both the judges and the audience.
Tisson’s remarkable journey to victory was marked by her outstanding achievements across all segments of the pageant. She won several awards, including Best Swimwear Design, Best in Swimwear, Best Evening Wear, and Best Embodiment of Grace in Evening Wear. Tisson’s ability to combine elegance with confidence allowed her to shine throughout the event, securing her position at the top. In addition to these honors, she also received the Best Performing Talent award, which highlighted her stage presence and versatility. Tisson’s popularity was further solidified when she claimed the Strongbow People’s Choice Award, voted for by the event’s audience, a recognition of her connection with the crowd. Tisson also shared the Best in Costume award with another contestant, emphasizing her impeccable style and creativity.
The competition, which included seven talented contestants, saw Tisson’s consistent performances standing out, as she excelled in various categories. As the winner, she was awarded a generous cash prize of \$25,000, recognizing her exceptional achievement. Moreover, Tisson was granted a full scholarship to pursue a bachelor’s degree of her choice at Monroe College, offering her an opportunity to further her education while continuing to build her career.

The second runner-up honor went to a 21-year-old contestant from Dennery North and the Mabouya Valley. She captivated the audience with her outstanding dance performance, which earned her the Best Talent award. Her remarkable presence and camera-ready beauty also earned her the coveted title of Miss Photogenic. She was also presented with the Chairperson’s Award, a special honor selected by the Chair of the Carnival Management and Planning Committee, recognizing her dedication and performance throughout the competition.
