Dusit International has signed a management agreement with PT Komodo Property Management to launch Kaliwatu Residences – Dusit Collection, a luxury retreat in Labuan Bajo, Flores.
Dusit International, a prominent Thai hospitality and property development company, has officially entered into a hotel management agreement with PT Komodo Property Management to oversee Kaliwatu Residences – Dusit Collection. This new luxury retreat, nestled in Labuan Bajo on Flores Island, marks the debut of Dusit’s Dusit Collection brand in Indonesia.
A Growing Destination with Immense Potential
Labuan Bajo has quickly become one of Indonesia’s most rapidly developing tourism hubs, making it an ideal location for the luxury development. The signing of the agreement signals a significant milestone for Dusit, complementing the success of its Elite Havens subsidiary, which already manages luxury villa rentals across Bali and Lombok.

Alessandro Mugavero, CEO of PT Komodo Property Management, noted that Labuan Bajo’s growing status as a premier global destination makes the timing of this project ideal. “Kaliwatu Residences – Dusit Collection will set new benchmarks in sustainable luxury hospitality. Our goal is to create a retreat that harmonizes with its natural surroundings while offering world-class amenities,” he explained.
Mugavero also emphasized the collaboration with local authorities and communities, ensuring that the project positively impacts the local economy while maintaining sustainable development practices.
Dusit’s Expanding Global Presence
With this new addition, Dusit’s global portfolio now spans 296 properties in 18 countries. This includes 57 properties under Dusit Hotels and Resorts and 239 luxury villas managed by Elite Havens. The Kaliwatu Residences project joins two other Dusit Collection properties under development: Layan Verde in Phuket and Plaza De Zamboanga – Dusit Collection in the Philippines, set to open later this year.
An Exceptional Location and Unmatched Luxury
Situated on the western tip of Flores, Kaliwatu Residences is a mere 10-minute drive from Komodo International Airport and the lively town of Labuan Bajo. The property is located close to the famous Komodo National Park, home to the legendary Komodo dragons and renowned for its world-class diving spots.
