After introducing the Nature Connect portfolio of lighting solutions in a few international markets last year, Signify has brought the latest offering in their connected lighting portfolio into the India market. A solution under the global programme – Brighter Lights, Better Life – NatureConnect portfolio is built on the principles of Biophilic design to reconnect people with the constant cycles and variations of nature for comfortable, engaging and attractive indoor environments.
The lighting solution under the NatureConnect collection combines various LED luminaires for a fully immersive natural experience. The indoor lighting in this NatureConnect portfolio mimics the daily rhythm of the sun to help people stay active during the day without feeling the stress.
Introducing the NatureConnect lighting solution, Sumit Joshi, MD & CEO – greater India, Signify said that well being, sustainability and productivity are three key elements that the company keeps in mind while bringing any new product or solution into the market. Especially after Covid19 pandemic, people’s behaviour has changed and they want to stay closer to nature even at their workplaces.
He said that while biophilic design is growing in currency in interiors across sectors, adding a lighting element using advanced lighting technology will enhance the morale of the occupants of the space and their productivity. He said that the solution has application across sectors such as offices, hospitality and healthcare, education, conference and convention venues, educational institutions, etc.

NatureConnect system comprises three key components, each designed to recreate the natural rhythms of sunlight. While ‘SkyRibbon’ provides a soft glow imitating morning and evening twilight, ‘Daylight’, a ceiling luminaire, changes color and intensity to mimic daylight patterns. The third element, ‘Skylight’, a window-like wall fixture, simulates the effect of natural sunlight streaming in. To accommodate a variety of widely-used celling types, The NatureConnect lighting system includes the NatureConnect link, a device that seamlessly integrates with popular control systems like interact. This enables users to easily select NatureConnect scenes, adjust brightness levels, or execute complex light recipes for a fully customizable lighting experience.
