Bob W Expands in Athens with New Long-Term Lease for Premium Serviced Apartments
Bob W has made a significant move in its European expansion by securing a long-term lease for the property at 54 Stadiou Street in Athens. This marks another milestone in the company’s commitment to bringing premium serviced apartments to key locations across Europe.
In partnership with developer-landlord Blend Development, Bob W will transform the historic building into a collection of high-end serviced apartments. The property, situated in a central area of Athens with close proximity to major landmarks and transport hubs, offers the perfect foundation for the company’s continued growth in the Mediterranean region.
Bob W is renowned for converting commercial properties into modern, sustainable living spaces. The repurposed building will offer a blend of technology-driven services, eco-friendly design, and an immersive local experience for its guests.
The new property, Bob W Stadiou, will become the company’s third location in Athens, joining Bob W Akadimia and Bob W Eolou. With this addition, Bob W’s European presence is further strengthened, with over 5,000 units now available across the continent.
Renovations have already begun, and the apartments are expected to welcome guests this winter. The refurbishment will focus on improving the building’s energy efficiency, incorporating modern insulation, energy-saving lighting, and water-efficient features, all powered by 100% renewable electricity.
In line with its environmental commitments, Bob W recently launched its Sustainability Report along with the Lodging Emissions & Guest-night Impact Tracker (LEGIT), created in partnership with the environmental consultancy Furthr. The tool enables guests and operators to assess the carbon footprint of each room type, helping to drive transparency and accountability in the hospitality industry.
Bob W views Greece, particularly Athens, as a key part of its long-term Mediterranean expansion. Paris D. Kallitsantsis, managing director at Blend Development, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, highlighting its potential to revitalize Stadiou Street and contribute to the city center’s growth.
By connecting guests to local experiences and offering seamless digital check-ins, Bob W provides a unique and personalized stay. As the company continues to expand, it is actively looking for additional lease and management opportunities across Europe.
