In addition, drinks like filter coffee, local beer, a can of soda, or a glass of wine will cost you between £2 and £3.

Kuta, Bali – £66.88
Next up is Kuta, Bali, which ranks as the second most affordable destination in Asia, though it has seen a 5% price increase year-on-year. Despite the price hikes, it remains a great budget option for tourists. The total cost for eight common tourist items will set you back £66.88, including a three-course meal priced at £40.51. However, if you plan to spend much time on the beach, make sure to bring your sunscreen, as it costs £14.99 here—significantly higher than in other destinations. But with the cost of meals and drinks being relatively low, Bali still offers a tropical escape that doesn’t put too much strain on the wallet.
Delhi, India – £69.52
Delhi has emerged as one of the most affordable destinations in Asia, ranking No. 5 globally. What’s more, it’s the highest-ranked new entrant in the top 10 list for 2025. Prices have dropped by 10.7%, making it an even better deal for tourists. If you’re looking for the best deals on sunscreen and insect repellent, Delhi is the place to go. The city offers some of the most budget-friendly prices for these essentials when compared to all other destinations surveyed.

Hoi An, Vietnam – £73.23
Hoi An, a UNESCO World Heritage site in Vietnam, rounds out the list of affordable Asian destinations for 2025. Although the city’s prices have increased significantly—by 41%—it remains a budget-friendly option for tourists. While it has dropped from its No. 1 spot last year to No. 7 globally, Hoi An continues to be a popular and cost-effective destination, especially for those seeking a mix of culture, cuisine, and scenic beauty. Expect to pay £73.23 for the eight tourist essentials, a slight rise but still a great deal when considering the charm and historic atmosphere of the area.
Phuket, Thailand – £76.10
Phuket rounds out Asia’s top 5 most affordable destinations, offering excellent value for money. Despite being a well-known tourist hotspot, Phuket’s prices remain competitive. For £76.10, you can cover the eight essential items tourists typically purchase. While some costs, such as food and drinks, may have risen slightly, the island’s natural beauty and tourism infrastructure ensure you’ll still get your money’s worth.
