Air Canada is set to elevate the travel experience for its premium passengers with the introduction of its newest Air Canada Café™ at Montréal-Trudeau International Airport. Opening tomorrow near Gate A2, this café is the third in the airline’s growing network of lounge spaces, reaffirming its commitment to offering high-end services for its domestic customers. The new café aims to provide a seamless and convenient grab-and-go option, catering specifically to eligible travellers seeking a premium experience while at the airport.
This latest Air Canada Café combines local flair with modern amenities, offering a curated menu that highlights iconic Montréal snacks and local beverages, ensuring passengers get a taste of the region’s culinary offerings. The 2,700-square-foot café boasts 58 comfortable seats, each equipped with power outlets and USB-C charging ports, so passengers can recharge their devices and stay productive while enjoying their time before their flight. The self-serve beverage station features locally brewed beers, ciders, and non-alcoholic drinks, alongside a variety of coffee options, including Lavazza specialty coffees and nitro cold brew.
“We’ve created a premium experience tailored to the needs of our busiest customers, while celebrating the essence of Montréal’s vibrant café culture,” said Jacqueline Harkness, Managing Director, Product & Services at Air Canada. “Every detail of the Air Canada Café is designed for productivity and comfort, bringing together efficiency with the warmth and energy that make it a beloved product amongst our customers.”
“Our collaboration with Air Canada on the Montréal concept for Air Canada Café is one that we’re particularly proud of,” said Partner and Designer Vincent Hauspy, of Montréal-based design firm Provencher Roy. “The design celebrates the unique character and spirit of Montréal, showcasing all that makes this city an iconic destination for both Canadian and international travellers.”
Local Delights and Signature Comforts
At the Air Canada Café, customers will find an array of food selections that reflect Montréal’s culinary scene. Grab-and-go options include warm pistachio cream croissants, mini cheese boards, fresh salads, and vegetarian wraps, alongside Montréal-inspired bagels and smoked meat sandwiches. The café also takes dietary needs into consideration, with clear ingredient and allergen information accessible via QR codes, allowing customers to make informed choices.
“ADM Aéroports de Montréal is pleased to welcome this new Air Canada Café, which offers a new signature experience for travelers departing from YUL,” said Philippe Stas, ADM’s Vice President, Services, Commercial and innovation. “This new space, with its design unique to our beautiful city, will enhance the level of service offered in the domestic area of our terminal, in addition to reinforcing our commitment to offer, in collaboration with our great partner Air Canada, a welcome worthy of the greatest international airports to our passengers.”
The space is designed to accommodate both relaxation and productivity. Whether passengers need to take calls or complete some last-minute work before their flight, the seating arrangements cater to both needs. Additionally, every seat is equipped with power outlets to ensure a hassle-free and connected experience.
Designed with Montréal in Mind
The café’s design, a collaboration with local design firm Provencher Roy, draws influence from the city’s renowned “third wave” coffee culture, with a sleek, modern look. The space is complemented by custom abstract artwork from Montréal-born artist Melanie Authier, which adds a local touch to the atmosphere. The café’s unique hanging light fixtures are manufactured in Québec, further emphasizing Air Canada’s dedication to supporting local craftsmanship.

The Air Canada Café is accessible to eligible customers travelling on business class tickets, Aeroplan 50K, 75K, and Aeroplan Super Elite Status members, Star Alliance Gold members, and Aeroplan premium co-brand cardholders.
