Air Canada has officially launched its newest route connecting Montreal to Porto, Portugal, marking a significant milestone for the airline’s expanding European network. The inaugural flight, which took off yesterday evening from Montreal, landed in Porto this morning, offering travelers a seamless connection between Canada and one of Portugal’s most picturesque cities.
Porto becomes the second destination for Air Canada in Portugal, complementing the airline’s existing service to Lisbon from both Montreal and Toronto. The airline’s latest European expansion includes several new routes this summer, demonstrating its commitment to enhancing connectivity between North America and Europe. Air Canada’s upcoming launches also include a new service between Toronto and Prague, set to begin this week, and a seasonal route between Montreal and Edinburgh, scheduled for the end of June. Additionally, the airline recently reinstated its popular Ottawa to London Heathrow route in April and introduced its Naples route in May.

This expansion follows Air Canada’s successful operations to other major European cities and aligns with the airline’s goal to tap into the growing demand for transatlantic travel. The launch of new routes such as Toronto to Prague and Montreal to Edinburgh further showcases Air Canada’s commitment to connecting North America with Europe’s most vibrant cities.
