Accor Pacific Renews Partnership Agreements for Over 40 Hotels Across Australia

Australia’s largest hotel operator, Accor Pacific, has renewed partnership agreements for more than 40 hotels, totaling 5,500 keys, across the country. This move underscores Accor’s robust relationships with Australia’s top hotel owners. Since early 2022, Accor Pacific partners have invested over $450 million in hotel renovations and refurbishments, demonstrating a strong commitment to the brand.

Adrian Williams, Chief Operating Officer PM&E at Accor Pacific, stated, “This significant investment is a direct commitment to our brands and a testament to our partners’ confidence in the quality and value we offer.”

Key Partnerships and Investments

Marking its 40th renewal, Accor recently solidified a long-term franchise agreement with Silversea Investments. This agreement includes substantial investments to refurbish the Novotel Sydney Parramatta and Mercure Sydney Parramatta, which will be rebranded as Novotel Sydney Rosehill after the renovation. Managed by Trilogy Hotels, these properties will gain even more prominence with Parramatta’s ongoing infrastructure development and the upcoming launch of the Western Sydney Airport in 2026.

Additionally, the Sofitel Noosa Pacific Resort, a flagship five-star hotel on the Sunshine Coast, has extended its partnership with Accor. The resort is set to announce renovation plans to enhance its luxury offerings on Noosa’s prestigious Hastings Street.

Strong Relationships and Local Support

Accor Pacific boasts a network of over 350 hotels in Australia, built on strong relationships with both international and local hotel owners. Williams emphasized, “Accor has been operating in Australia for over 30 years, and our relationships with owners are reinforced by our commitment to maintaining market-leading guest services, facilities, and satisfaction.”

Williams also highlighted the strategic increase in local operational support, with more than 300 above-property team members and dedicated operational teams in key cities across the Pacific. This local presence allows for quicker decision-making and resource allocation, ensuring above-market performance for over 200 managed hotels.

Franchise Expertise and Market Adaptability

Lindsay Leeser, Chief Development Officer at Accor Pacific, noted, “We have developed the largest dedicated hotel franchise platform in the market, allowing us to work closely with franchise owners and third-party operators according to their business and investment strategies.” With over 30 years of franchising experience, Accor Pacific provides unmatched support to hotel owners navigating a competitive market.

Diverse Hotel Portfolio Across the Pacific

Accor operates a diverse portfolio of 19 international brands and over 400 hotels across Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, and French Polynesia. These include luxury brands like Sofitel, MGallery, and Swissôtel, mid-range options like Novotel and Mercure, and economy choices like ibis and ibis budget.
