Travelodge, the UK’s pioneering budget hotel chain, has unveiled its latest 59-bedroom property in Bromley town center, located in South East London.
Officially opened on March 10th, the new Travelodge London Bromley Town Centre offers guests a chance to experience the brand’s newly revamped premium design. This transformation represents the most significant update in the company’s history, featuring a redesigned reception area and next-generation guest rooms. Each room boasts a plush king-size Dreamer bed, a cozy duvet, and four soft pillows. Additional amenities include modern ensuite shower rooms, a spacious work desk, a TV with Freeview, LED lighting, and numerous power outlets, including USB charging ports by the desk and bedside.
Sustainability was a key consideration in the hotel’s design. It has earned an Energy Performance Certificate rating of B and incorporates several eco-friendly elements such as energy-efficient LED lighting throughout and green roofs that support local biodiversity.
Conveniently situated near Bromley Civic Centre, the Churchill Theatre, and various other attractions, the Travelodge is just a two-minute walk from Bromley Train Station. Guests can reach Central London in approximately 30 minutes by train. The hotel has also contributed to the local economy, creating 19 new jobs within the community.
Steve Bennett, Chief Property and Development Officer, said: “We’re thrilled to welcome guests to our newly opened London Bromley Mall hotel which is the very latest in our growing network of hotels throughout London.
“Guests can benefit from design features such as our revamped reception area and next generation room including king size Dreamer bed, LED lighting and USB charging. We continue to look for more London locations and have four more new London hotels currently under construction in Beckenham, Chiswick, Stratford and Upminster.”
“Travelodge operates over 600 hotels across the UK, Ireland and Spain. It runs 83 hotels and has over 10,000 rooms across London, employing around 4,000 people across the city, with the chain continuing to expand across the capital. Travelodge also recently acquired an office building in St Paul’s, for conversion into a 95-room hotel subject to planning permission, which is a very exciting new route for growth for Travelodge”
