A significant meeting focused on skill development for the youth of Tripura was chaired by the secretary of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), Atul Kumar Tiwari, at Kaushal Bhavan in New Delhi. The meeting saw the participation of Kirit Pradyot Deb Barman, the current titular king (Maharaj) of Tripura, THSC CEO Rajan Bahadur, and other key stakeholders.
The agenda of the meeting revolved around providing targeted skill development training in the tourism and hospitality sectors to enhance employment opportunities for the youth of Tripura. Additionally, discussions covered the enhancement of entrepreneurial skills among the youth in emerging sectors, tailored to the state’s specific needs.
Bahadur emphasised the importance of this initiative, stating, “This collaborative effort is a significant step towards empowering the youth of Tripura. By providing them with the right skills and training, we are not only opening doors to suitable employment opportunities but also fostering a spirit of entrepreneurship that is essential for the state’s growth.”
The meeting highlighted the necessity of aligning skill development programs with regional demands and the emerging sectors to ensure that the youth of Tripura are well-equipped to contribute to the state’s economic progress.
