In a recent development, Sikkim’s Roads and Bridges Minister, N.B. Dahal, visited the Singshore Bridge on March 21, 2025, to oversee the safety preparations for the upcoming bungee jumping facility. This marks the first time bungee jumping will be available in the state, promising an adrenaline-pumping experience for both locals and tourists alike. Although the pricing details for this thrilling activity have yet to be disclosed, anticipation is building for its launch at the upcoming Sikkim Rural Tourism Meet.
The Iconic Singshore Bridge
Located near Pelling, the Singshore Bridge is a breathtaking sight. Standing 100 meters above the ground and stretching 240 meters in length, it is the highest suspension bridge in Sikkim. The Sikkim Rural Tourism Meet, taking place from March 22 to 25, 2025, in Uttarey, West Sikkim, will be a focal point for rural tourism in the state. Visitors arriving at Bagdogra Airport will be greeted in the quaint village of Rholu, where they can stay in traditional homestays.
