In 2025, the Premier League Summer Series will return to the United States, featuring four top-flight English football clubs: AFC Bournemouth, Everton, Manchester United, and West Ham United. The series will take place from July 26 to August 3, with matches across three major U.S. cities—New Jersey, Chicago, and Atlanta.
The tournament will see each team play three matches, starting on Saturday, July 26, at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. The opening fixtures will feature Everton vs. AFC Bournemouth and Manchester United against West Ham United. On Wednesday, July 30, Soldier Field in Chicago will host the second round of games, with West Ham facing Everton and Manchester United playing Bournemouth. The final set of matches will take place at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta on Sunday, August 3, with Bournemouth vs. West Ham and Manchester United vs. Everton.
Fans will be able to enjoy two matches for the price of one ticket at each venue, making it a unique and exciting opportunity to witness top-tier English football up close. The 2025 edition follows the success of the inaugural Premier League Summer Series in 2023, which was the first pre-season tournament held by the league on U.S. soil. The 2023 series saw Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium packed with over 70,000 fans for matches featuring Newcastle United, Chelsea, Brentford, and Brighton & Hove Albion.
The Return of Premier League Football to the U.S.
Premier League chief executive Richard Masters expressed excitement about bringing the Summer Series back to the U.S. He emphasized the strong and growing support for English football in the country. “We know from our previous tournament and Premier League Mornings Live Fan Fest events that we and our clubs have incredibly loyal and passionate fans in the U.S. who get up early to follow their teams during the season,” Masters stated.
This series will contribute to the already strong football culture in the U.S., which is set to host the FIFA Club World Cup this summer, as well as co-hosting the FIFA World Cup in 2026 with Canada and Mexico.
A Growing Football City
Atlanta, which will host the final matches of the Premier League Summer Series at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, has earned a reputation as a leading soccer city. William Pate, president and CEO of the Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau, highlighted the importance of these events for the city. “We are thrilled Premier League will return to Atlanta for a doubleheader this summer at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. These events further showcase Atlanta’s global recognition as a soccer city prepared to host large matches like these as well as the FIFA Club World Cup in June and FIFA World Cup 2026,” Pate stated.
