Hyderabad’s GMR International Airport has once again been distinguished for its outstanding service, securing an award in the annual Airports Council International (ACI) Airport Service Quality (ASQ) survey for 2024. Competing with over 400 airports globally, Hyderabad stood out by winning the ‘Best Airport in the 15 to 25 Million Passengers Per Annum (MPPA)’ category for the Asia-Pacific region.
The ACI World’s ASQ program is a leading initiative for assessing passenger satisfaction at airports worldwide. It uses real-time surveys to evaluate over 30 different performance indicators, offering a thorough analysis of passengers’ experiences throughout their journey.

2024 ASQ Awards Highlights:
- Globally, more than half of all travelers used an ASQ-participating airport, highlighting the program’s significant role in establishing high standards for airport services.
- From 700,000 surveys conducted in 2024, 181 ASQ Awards were claimed by 95 airports.
- Award categories varied from Best Airports by Size and Region to Most Dedicated Staff, Easiest Airport Journey, Most Enjoyable Airport, and Cleanest Airport, with a separate category for the top airports in arrivals.
GMR Hyderabad International Airport has been a benchmark for service and operational excellence for years, placing in the top three global airports consistently from 2009 to 2017 and earning the World No. 1 title four times within the 5–15 MPPA category. It received accolades as ‘Best Airport by Size and Region’ in the Asia-Pacific for 2019 and 2020 and continued this trend with awards in 2022 and 2023 in the 15–25 MPPA category.
